The Motion Captor optical motion capture system also has optional software
for sports and Clinical Motion Analysis
CLIMA
(Clinical Motion Analysis) |
CLIMA allows full automatic analysis of any kind of human movement, such as shoulder abduction, a knee flexion or a complete gait analysis. CLIMA has become an essential tool in many hospitals, medical centers and health insurance companies. It’s quick and precise results in fields such as rehabilitation, orthopedic surgery and neurology are the key to this success.
CLIMA system includes all necessary components (hardware & software) for complete use: a standard PC and a variable number of cameras (depending on user’s requirements), integrated infra-red lights and several sets of optical markers.

Golf Analysis Software
3D SWING CAPTOR provides golf players with the motion capture technology and biomechanical analysis used by highest-level sportsmen. The 3D golf captor includes all hardware (cameras, computer and markers) and software components required both for the capturing process and for a complete biomechanical analysis. The capture system can be installed both inside (shops for specialized material, golf schools) or outside (on the driving range)
The capture method used by the 3D SWING CAPTOR has two steps:
1) Placing of markers (optical sensors) Time needed: 2 minutes. Before carrying out the swing movement, the set of markers has to be placed on the golf player’s body.
2) Recording the swing: next, the record of the swing takes place, which takes no longer than the time needed for the player to place himself in the center of the recording area and carry out a golf swing.
The fully automatic capture process is completed in only seconds. The system is ready to analyze the swing taken with the 3D Swing Analyzer immediately after the swing is finished.
Once the exercise has been done the 3D Swing Analyzer allows the following:
• Display of the exercise from any point of view.
• Automatic calculation of the swing steps.
• Numerical values of weight distribution, shoulders’, hips’ and knees’ rotation angles, club’s speed, etc.
• Graphic display of the swing plans, center of gravity, 3D paths, etc.
• A design editor allows not only drawing lines on the 3D but also makes some parts of the golf player invisible.

Cycling Analysis Software
BikeCAP allows a complete biomechanical analysis of the cyclist in real time. The system includes all hardware (cameras, computer, markers) and software components required both for the capturing process and for the analysis. Once the markers have been placed, the cyclist rides over a fixed or moving roller machine, and in real time (or after saving it on the hard disk’s computer) it is possible to reach any kind of biomechanical data such as cycling angles, knees’ angles, cycling speed, legs’ flexion, and so on.
Analysis
Incorrect positioning over the bike or any other incorrect movements are the cause of many muscular injuries. BikeCAP allows, both in real time and offline, a biomechanical analysis of the cycling process, including all steps, angles and angular velocity of knees, ankles, arms, back, etc . Furthermore the 3-D animation allows, also in real time, to display the exercise from any point of view. The exercises are saved for later analysis and comparison with other cyclists or with himself. As a result, a report with the most significant data is generated.

Swimming Analysis Software
The INTHEPOOL system is the result of the application of the most advanced technologies in machine vision to swimming. This system brings together hardware (video cameras and vision systems) and software to automatically obtain information about pass times, turns, strokes, etc during the training sessions or in contest. As a result of the analysis the following is obtained:
- Pass times of all swimmers in different distances in the swimming pool. The pass points are subject to be configured by course, and inside it, by swimming pool length.
- Stroke frequency defined in the central areas of the swimming pool (also able to be customized).
- Issuing of automatic reports including all necessary statistics, including graphics, tables with pass times, strokes, etc.

Soccer Analysis
3D SOCCER CAPTOR provides soccer trainers and players with the motion capture technology and biomechanical analysis used by highest-level sportsmen. The 3D SOCCER CAPTOR system includes a complete motion capture system and a program for biomechanical analysis specifically oriented to any soccer motion. This system has been developed in close collaboration with the technical staff of the Real Sociedad de Fútbol (first division soccer team in Spain) from San Sebastian.
The capture process is very simple and is reduced to 2 steps.
1.- Placing of the markers (small balls with reflective material) Before carrying out the motion the reflective markers have to be placed on the respective anatomic joints. This process takes about 2 minutes.
2.- Recording the motion
The motion is freely done, with a moving or dead ball. Once the motion has been done, the 3D Soccer Analyzer allows:
• Display of the motion from any point of view.
• Quick access to all kinds of biomechanical numeric data such as shoulder rotation angles, shooting leg and supporting leg angles.
• Three-dimensional illustration of the center of gravity and points paths.
• 2D curves of all kinds of parameters.
