Setup of the Motion Captor system is fast - requiring about an hour (or less). The cameras, tripods and lights are set up at equal distances around the capture area. Once the cameras are all aimed at the center of the capture area, calibration is accomplished via placement and capture of the calibration rod at twelve different locations within the capture area. This process linearizes the space and allows the cameras to know their location relative to the other cameras.
The markers can be put on over street clothes - a baseball cap attaches the markers to the actor's head. A vest attaches the markers to the actor's torso. Markers are attached to the elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
Marker recognition is instantaneous, allowing the capture session to begin immediately.
Entertainment If MotionBuilder is not used, the resulting captures can be converted to Maya or Softimage fomats, or BVH for 3D Studio MAX. Use of MotionBuilder is recommended for integration with Lightwave. Rehabilitation ·
